Sun Visor for a Savannah
I made a sun visor for my Savannah, works well and I use it a lot.
It's made from that corrugated plastic material, much like corrugated cardboard, that's often used for signs. It's light weight and rigid.
Along the top is epoxied a length of 6mm (1/4") aluminum rod.
Then I added wraps of .016 aluminum epoxied on to give more strength.
The hinges are heavy duty plastic clothes pins, riveted to the lining above the windshield. They give a friction fit that works well and the visor is easily removed if necessary.
A tab of velcro holds the visor up against the overhead switch panel.
View from eye level inside. Still good visibility of the flight path ahead.
